AFI Visit to Titanic Belfast – May 5th, 2025
On May 5th, members of Ataxia Foundation Ireland enjoyed a fantastic day out at Titanic Belfast. We had a great crowd on the day, with members, families, and friends all coming together to explore the world-famous museum.
For some, it was their first ever visit to Belfast, making the trip even more special. The Titanic experience didn’t disappoint – it was both moving and fascinating, and there was plenty of time afterwards to catch up over a cuppa. The sun played it's part too.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a memorable day!
We were thrilled to welcome such a fantastic turnout at our recent social lunch at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel in Carlow!
It was heartening to see so many familiar faces — and just as exciting to meet lots of new people joining us for the first time.
Accessibility is always a priority for our events, so we were delighted to have Accessoloo on-site to ensure everyone felt comfortable and fully included.
Thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so enjoyable. We’re already looking forward to the next gathering!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the Noel McManus Memorial Run for an unforgettable day — despite the lashing rain from start to finish!
Many thanks to Fiona McMunas and the McManus family for chosing us as a beneficary. Your support means the world to Ataxia Foundation Ireland and helps us continue to support individuals and families affected by Ataxia across the country.
This event is always one of our most popular social events, even the weather did not stop people from travelling. Senator Tom Clonan gave a very inspiring and heart warming talk on disability and his work within the sector. Damien from Errigal was presented with a thank-you token from John Kelleher on behalf of AFI. Lots of raffle prizes won on the day.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience, the knowledge and interaction of the staff made for a very enjoyable day. Relaxing on the grounds of Russborough House with picnics proved to be a great way to finish off the day.
Cannot praise the staff at 3 Arena enough, the care and attention we received made our day so much more enjoyable. Even Justin and Saskia enjoyed the day. Photos are not great but show was fantastic.

A very emotional moment was the presentation of a farewell gift to our voluntary CEO Al Young, Al stepped down at our AGM in June 23 for health reasons.
